Parent Class Reps
The Parent Representatives serve as a point of
contact for parents in the class. They relay important information from the teacher
and school administration, as well as gather and share information from parents to
the teacher. This can involve email chains, messaging apps, or other communication
platforms. They help organize social events for the class, such as playdates,
potlucks, or coffee mornings, to help families connect with each other and build
relationships. This is particularly important in early learning where parents are
often eager to connect with other families. Parent Representatives could offer
support to the teacher in various ways, such as coordinating volunteers for
classroom activities.
The parent involved acts as a liaison between parents and the teacher, helping to
address concerns or questions that may arise.
Another important role would be to welcome new families by helping them to settle in
and feel part of the community.
